Catra

She ra is the twin sister of He Man. And just as He Man had an arch nemisis so did she. In the cartoon show from the 80's She ra's main enemy was Hordack but in the girly toy line it was all about pinkness and Catra. As a kid I played with a Catra action figure complete with a mask, shield, and fussy black skirt with a tail. She has a lovely pink painted on bodice and silvery boots and gloves with molded fur. She was so cool with her green eyes and flowing black hair riding all nifty like on her pink lion "Clawdeen." A few years ago I did my own grown up version of her and had  planned to draw She ra as well to complete the image. I think I will finish it up some time and maybe even give the characters a background, cause backgrounds are awesome!

MarsCon 2011

It is now officially official, Joe and I are going to the be artist guests of honer at MarsCon 2011! We are so exited to have been chosen and are very thankful for this opportunity. Joe and I are working together to do the illustrations for the poster as well as other promotional material as needed. The princess from the previous post is going to be featured on the poster along with a wizard, witch and snarky the MarsCon mascot. There are some other characters too and an awesome background...but I don't wanna give it all away just yet.

I will be posting more about the convention as it gets closer and hopefully I will do some new fantasy/sci-fi artwork besides the poster to showcase as well...so happy painting and drawing to meeee!

MarsCon 2011 will be held March 4-6, 2011 at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Bloomington, MN.
